That’s right… you read my job titles correctly, its a bit of a mix.
I consider myself to be a unique individual with two strong still sets in two completely different fields of work.I currently work as an IT manager for an investment bank with a total of 3 years experience in managing teams and a total of 5 years in IT support related roles.
On the other side I have also been working as a freelance UX/UI designer for 7 years, specialising in Website & Graphic design. I run my own branding agency www.jamesbrandux.co.uk ( check it out! ) helping small business get off the ground and find their own brand identity.

Sarasin & Partners LLP – December 2019 to Present
My current role as IT manager has seen me manage a small on premise support team, supporting a very fast paced environment where high availability of services are of paramount importance. This role has enabled me to build on my previous project management, communication and managerial skills being a key point of contact for all technical issues that have been escalated.
The technical aspect of this role has led to acquiring a diverse skill set in a wide range of technologies such as SCCM deployment and management, MDM solutions, Financial software support such as Charles River and Bloomberg.
Waterstons LTD – June 2018 to November 2019
Formerly a Technology Consultant working for Waterstons Ltd. The role I play is a very diverse role which has me responsible for client project management, providing technical support as an experienced IT engineer.
The technical aspect of this role has led to acquiring a diverse skill set in a wide range of technologies such as Virtualisation with Citrix and VSphere, Exchange Server 2010, Windows Server Administration, Office 365 / Teams and Skype for business administration, Print Management, AEC software support, Audio Visual management, AV & DR solutions, Azure AD, Digital Signage, Anti Virus and MDM solutions.
Levett Consultancy – August 2016 to April 2018
My position as a 3rd line engineer and cloud development specialist has been a great insight into keeping customer relations strong and providing 3rd line technical support to the education sector.
My roles have included Training, Development of new products and services, Certified GSuite and Office 365 administration and deployment, Complete support for Windows Server Environment, (2008 R2 – 2016) networking, digital signage, digital security, disaster recovery and support for various cloud-based applications.
JamesbrandUX LTD – January 2015 to Present
All from a project that I started at university I started my own business venture from scratch providing digital services from branding, logo design and website design in addition to my working jobs.
With my experience as a field marking manager and in design from university I have been able to manage, consult and design various digital design projects for a few years not only supporting my portfolio and the design community but enhancing, my skills and keeping up to date with modern trends.

Studying Double ICT and Media Studies at college was the start of my love for computing and digital design. My ICT course gave me a great introduction to Adobe Creative Suite, web development and a great understanding of design trends and incorporating best practice when designing.
Whist media studies has given me a keen eye for detail and engaging with different audiences through the use of digital media. I achieved a total of 240 UCAS points grades A-C.
